At the Y, we believe that the ability to swim is a critical life skill for every child, teen, and adult. In group swim lessons, we use a variety of fun methods to help kids overcome fears, build confidence in the water, and develop skills that last a lifetime. Qualified instructors meet kids at their own level, help families set achievable goals, and celebrate success together. Swim lessons are taught using the YMCA of the USA progressive swim lesson guidelines.

The Y Achievers program is an academic achievement/career development initiative purposed to help youth and teens set and pursue high educational goals. Our ultimate goal is to prepare youth for life beyond high school by providing developmentally based mentorship and workshop activities designed to give 6th – 12th grade students the tools they need to succeed in school, college, life and beyond. The Y Achievers Program operates within five core competencies which are: Academics, College Knowledge, Positive Relationships, Life Skills and Positive Identity. These five pillars serve to strengthen the Y’s foundation to maximize impact.
