Summer is almost here and parents are looking for a great place for their children to spend their summer days. The Ric Nuber YMCA offers a Summer Day Camp that is full of many fun and exciting activities. Throughout the summer we play lots of games, make arts and crafts, swim in the refreshing pool, go on great field trips, make new life long friends and so much more!
Children are divided into four different age groups at camp.
(5/6 year olds, 7/8 year olds, 9/10 year olds, 11/12 year olds) These age groups allow for the children to be with their peers and provide the best learning environment for them. Throughout the day the campers participate in a wide variety of activities. Each age group has a camper to counselor ratio of 1 counselor to every 15 campers. All of our Summer Day Camp staff are first aid and CPR certified and have participated in many hours of day camp training.
The Ric Nuber YMCA Summer Day Camp is an outdoor program. We will spend a majority of our day outside weather permitting. So come to camp prepared to be in the sun! Protect yourself with sunscreen, bring a water bottle, and wear comfortable clothes! (Tennis shoes only PLEASE!) Campers should bring their lunch and a drink each day to camp and we will provide for them a healthy afternoon snack. Don’t forget your swim gear, you will need that everyday!
Summer Day Camp Information
Summer Day Camp open registration is April 1st and 3rd from 6pm-8pm. We only have a limited number of spaces available.

Youth Fitness
Study after study confirms an alarming trend in our culture: many kids are not getting the level of exercise and fitness they need to maintain healthy bodies and prepare for the transition to adulthood. At the Nuber YMCA, we're constantly on the lookout for ways to help reverse the trend.
Jr. Orientation: 13-15 year olds need to participate in an orientation in
order to use parts of the fitness center. Parent must meet with Fitness
Staff employee on duty to fill out sign up form and make an appointment
for Jr. Orientation. Upon completion of the orientation, the participant can
use certain areas of the fitness center while a parent is on the YMCA
premises.
