METROPOLITIAN DIRECTOR OF SCHOOL-AGE CHILDCARE:
LESLEY ALLEN


Lesley Allen has worked with the YMCA since 1993. In 2005 she was promoted to the responsibility of leadership for all YMCA childcare operations throughout the Memphis and Mid-South area. She is a graduate of Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN.

FITNESS DIRECTOR:
JIMMIE MILLER


Jimmie is a long time Aerobic Instructor and 200 RYT (registered yoga teacher), she is also and AFFA certified personal trainer. Jimmie has a background in health science with a degree in Radiological Technology. She started working for Ric Nuber YMCA in 2002, first as an aerobic instructor, later aerobic coordinator and now is proud to be Fitness Director.

The Nuber YMCA is one of the cleanest places you will ever visit. This is due to Lisa and her great team that are dedicated to providing our members with a wonderful environment. Lisa has been working at the Nuber YMCA since 2004.

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR:
SABREEN SIMMONS


Sabreen Simmons has worked for the YMCA since April 2003 in our Member Service department, she was promoted to Front Desk Supervisor in April 2005 and Membership Director in March of 2008. She studied biology at Spellman College, Atlanta Georgia. She moved to Memphis in 1998 and has loved it ever since.

DIRECTOR OF AQUATICS AND YOUTH SPORTS:
LAUREN BIGGS


Lauren has been a part of the YMCA for over 12 years--starting as a lifeguard in her teens. She joined Nuber's full-time staff in 2006. Lauren also directs the Ric Nuber YMCA Teen Leaders' Club. Lauren received a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Memphis.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I have to show my membership card each time I use the facility?
Even though our member services staff may recognize you and greet you by name, we must still scan your membership card to retain an accurate record of our building usage, as well as for security and liability reasons. Please have your card out and available as you enter the building.

Why can't I bring my 10 year old on the Fitness Floor?
Due to liability and safety concerns, members must be 16 and older to enter the Fitness and Wellness Center. However, members who are Aged 13 - 15 may complete Teen Fitness Certification, and use certain equipment on the Fitness Floor, provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian while in the Fitness and Wellness Center.

May I use my membership to visit other YMCA's in town?
Yes! Your YMCA is membership is active at all (9) YMCA of Memphis and the Mid-South locations on an unlimited basis.

May I use my membership to visit other YMCA's in the U.S.?
Yes! We are in the AWAY Program -- on the back of your membership card you will find an AWAY logo that stands for "Always Welcome At YMCA's." It will be honored at nearly all 2,400 YMCAs across the country and abroad at no charge (or a nominal visitor fee). Call 1-800-YMCA USA or visit the National YMCA website at www.ymcausa.org for further information.

May I bring a guest with me to the Y?
Yes! YMCA members are encouraged to bring guests! Members must be 18 or older to bring a guest, maximum 2 guests per visit. All guests are welcome to 2 FREE visits and guests over the age of 16 must have a photo ID. After the 2 FREE visits, the guest is encouraged to join the YMCA.
